West End Yoga Company
Jeremy, the founder of West End Yoga Company located in Pinehurst North Carolina joined an Access to Capital class hosted by the Small Business Center with Teresa Reynolds. Our team of instructors provided a deep dive into Best Practices for preparing your business for lending and grants. After class, we chatted with Jeremy about his goals and upon learning that he was looking for a Veterans grant to help with some of his Yoga inventory, we got to work.
We had learned about an amazing organization, Work Vessels for Veterans (www.WVFV.org), which is a nationally recognized 501C3 that helps purchase items for Veteran owned businesses under their grant program. We helped Jeremy prepare his financial projections, business plan and WVFV application. Our team also notified the organization about the submission and shared with them Jeremy’s story and all he was doing for other Veterans in the local community.
The Outcomes
Thanks to Cathy Cook, the Executive Director of WVFV.org, and their amazing team Jeremy received all the yoga inventory and training tools he requested to ribbon cut his new studio in January of 2023. He also is now part of the WVFV community where he can network with other Veteran owned small businesses across the country. Jeremy intends to continue checking in with our team to provide updates and get advice when needed as he opens his new business.
